Dr. Joseph Coelho holds a Ph.D. in Public and International Affairs from Northeastern University. His previous research focused primarily on the areas of post-conflict state-building, civil society development, and democratization in postwar Kosovo. Dr. Coelho is currently interested in the emerging field of Ontological Security Studies and its application to emerging and de facto states. Areas of specialization: International Relations; comparative politics; democratization; and peace-building.
